The P & C is a forum for parents and the extended school community to communicate with the school.

The P & C is run by parent volunteers who donate their time and expertise.

The objectives of our P & C are to:

• promote close cooperation between parents, citizens, students and teaching staff
• encourage parent participation in supporting the school
• assist in raising funds to provide facilities and equipment for the school
• support the recreation and welfare of students at school

The P & C is responsible for governance of the following sub-committees:

• Fundraising
• Canteen
• Uniform Shop

When does the P & C meet?

The P & C Association usually meets in Week 4 and Week 8 each term. You can confirm meeting times on the Calendar on this website.

We welcome you to come along to any P & C meeting.

How can I get involved?

The P & C encourages your involvement and participation in our school community. Helping out is a great way to be involved in your child's school life, support the teaching staff, get to know students and other families and contribute to your community. We understand that everyone is busy with family and work commitments and we value any time you can dedicate.

Below we have outlined some of the ways you can get involved in the school community.

Volunteer

There are many ways you can contribute by helping out when we need volunteers to support events and fundraising activities or volunteering on a committee.

Our Canteen, Uniform Shop and Fundraising Committee are always looking for volunteers.

During the year, also look out for opportunities to help with events, fundraising and school activities.

Volunteers also assist in classroom activities, like supporting reading and literacy groups as well as helping at school events and on school excursions. Your classroom teacher can provide you with further information on this.

Be a Class Parent

Every class at Cromer has a Class Parent. Each of these Class Parents liaise with the classroom teacher to communicate class activities and information to parents.

If you are interested in being a Class Parent, please discuss with your classroom teacher.

Become a Member

Membership of the P & C Association is open to all parents of currently enrolled students and citizens living within the school community.

You may join as a member at any time, however membership does not become 'active' until the close of the next general meeting of the association.

You can download a Membership Form here.

Place the form along with a 50 cent payment in an envelope marked “P & C Membership" and hand in to the school office. Alternatively, you may come along to the next P & C meeting and join there.

Once you are a financial member of the P & C Association you may move and vote on motions and stand for election on the Executive Committee or sit on a Sub-Committee.
