Car Raffle Update

As advised last term, due to the onset of COVID-19 and related logistical restrictions, the Rotary Club of Upper Northern Beaches cancelled the 2020 Rotary Car Raffle.

We appreciate your patience while the P&C and school have been planning a way forward with meeting the challenge of reaching out to the raffle ticket purchasers. We have decided that we will contact all ticket purchasers via SMS to advise that the raffle has been cancelled. These messages will be sent out over the next month and will look like this:

Ref:XX-XXX | Rotary Car Raffle 2020 has been cancelled. To donate funds from your ticket purchase to Cromer P & C, then no need to respond to this message. Your tickets will automatically go into a prize draw. Else, to request a refund, reply with BSB and Account # within 7 days. {end sms}

If you are happy to donate funds from your ticket purchase, please do not respond to the SMS. You only need to respond with the required details if you would like a refund. Your SMS response is forwarded to the P & C email account and Ref Code on the SMS allows us to trace back to the relevant ticket booklet. You may receive multiple SMS messages if you have purchased tickets from multiple booklets. If you require a refund, you will need to respond to all the SMS messages you receive. Also, please do not respond on behalf of other ticket purchasers. We need to deal directly with a ticket purchaser if they are requesting a refund. Refunds will be processed by the P & C Exec. There is no need to send any additional emails to the school or the P & C.

The date and prize for the draw and allocation of donated funds will be agreed at the upcoming P & C meeting on 16th June.

If you still have any ticket booklets at home for tickets that have been sold, we’d appreciate (where possible) if you could confirm with ticket purchasers whether they’d like to donate the funds from their ticket purchase. If you have confirmed a donation, please mark the relevant tickets DONATION. If they do not wish to donate, please return the money to them and mark the relevant tickets as REFUNDED. If you are unable to confirm that’s no problem, please return the tickets and the money and we will contact the ticket purchasers via SMS. Please have your child/ren return tickets and money to the chute in the school office by the end of next week. Please also return any unsold booklets.
